DEALING WITH DRINKING AND DRIVING – THE IMMEDIATE ROADSIDE SUSPENSION (IRS) – Instead of charging a criminal offence (which you have an opportunity to defend) the program authorizes police to immediately impose license suspensions and other penalties at the roadside.
