Video recordings are great evidence in court. We already use in-car cameras and in-station cameras. This is a good move as it completes the process.
I agree that “the primary intention is to encourage compliance, and not to penalize” however while Health Canada gives the big players a break the police use The Cannabis Act to lay criminal charges against the little guy caught with some illicit cannabis or possessing more than 30 grams. Cannabis is not really legal – only in certain circumstances.
