Court Interpreters have been neglected and treated badly by the Province of Ontario for a long time. They are often an essential participant in a trial. They should be supported in their quest.

THE TIME FOR ACCOUNTABILITY – The federal Declaration of Emergency has been revoked. No government gets to exercise such emergency powers without being held accountable for what it did and how it did it. Under section 62 of the Emergencies Act, there will be such a review by a Parliamentary Review Committee. Also, under section 63, the Governor in Council now has 60 days in which to commence an inquiry. THAT is how a democracy works.
JUST A REMINDER THAT DRINKING AND DRIVING OFFENCES SPEAK IN TERMS OF A “CONVEYANCE” – the definition of which is: “a motor vehicle, a vessel, an aircraft or railway equipment”. This includes any vehicle that is motorized to any degree in any way and a vessel does not have to be motorized.

A PUBLIC SERVICE MESSAGE – For anyone who was at the “Ottawa Protest” I recommend that you lawyerup with a criminal defence lawyer. For anyone who was there with a truck, just because you left doesn’t mean that the police won’t confiscate your rig, possibly when they come to serve you with criminal charges. For anyone who had kids there you may want to speak with a family law lawyer to get advice on what to do if the Children’s Aid Society calls.
Simply put, mischief is defined by section 430(1) of the Criminal Code.
